As the editor of the Publishing Department of the Music Centre Vladimír Godár, joined by the ethnomusicologist, violinist, leader of the Skaličan folk ensemble Peter Michalovič, worked on the book Záhorácké pjesňičky (Songs from Záhorie Region). The released book summarized the activities of the popular collector of folk songs from Záhorie, Janko Blaho. The book was published thanks to joined endeavours of collaborating institutions: in addition to Music Centre it was also Záhorské múzeum in Skalica, OZ Albrechtina and Trnava Self-governing Region. The presentation of the publication took place on November 30, 2018 in the Záhorské Múzeum in Skalica. In the accompanying programme participated the soprano Stanislava Maggioni-Dubanová and baritone Tomáš Šelc, cellist Pavol Mucha and pianist Peter Pažický. After the "serious" programme the popular folk ensemble Skaličan performed. The event was extremely successful among the visitors, and also the book aroused much interest.













At the end of summer 2018 a concert took place in Pezinok, at which the trio of excellent musicians played the piece Talisman by Vladimír Godár. The violinist Dalibor Karvay, cellist Jozef Lupták and the pianist Ivan Koska performed the composition with the highest fervour and concentration, what was rewarded with a long applause of the audience present in an overcrowded church.
In 2017 the Slovenian director Miha Mazzini used music by Vladimír Godár in his film Izbrisana (The Erased). Film was premiered in 2018.
In autumn 2017 Vladimír Godár collaborated with the film director Martin Šulík on his latest movieThe Interpreter, which was premiered on 23. February 2018 at the International Film Festival Berlinale. The film is dealing with the currently topical issue of our presence and aroused the deserved attention of both the audience and film experts. In the following days the film was premiered in Bratislava and in several Slovak cities.
